What defines you as Global Product Line Manager NEMO®?

My focus is on defining the right products, continuously reviewing and further developing them. I always focus on what added value our solutions can offer. The right products are those that reliably solve your complex media-handling challenges and do so better than alternatives on the market. This aspiration drives me every day: Developing solutions proven in practice and making a difference. When we succeed, both sides benefit. You, our customers, receive efficient and reliable solutions for your applications, and we lay the foundation for sustainable market success.

What are your responsibilities as Global Product Line Manager NEMO®?

The main task is to identify problems and develop suitable solutions to deliver the right products. Customer needs are constantly changing, and solutions must evolve with them. The same applies to technological advances: New technologies open up new possibilities that must be integrated into our solutions. At the same time, alternative approaches and competing products are emerging on the market, which we have to deal with. As Global Product Line Manager, my job is to work closely with the various departments within the organisation and with our customers worldwide. Through our global sales organisation and sales partners, I am in constant contact with customers to identify their requirements and challenges at an early stage. At the same time, I work closely with development and manufacturing to identify new technologies and integrate them into our solutions in a targeted manner. The aim is to ensure our products are available worldwide, where needed, at the right time and at the right price. In addition, I actively involve the global sales organisation to gain, share, and apply expertise related to our solutions. Meanwhile, I support the global marketing organisation in developing and implementing the product marketing strategy. In this way, we can position our solutions and effectively communicate their benefits.

Thanks to the extremely low shear forces, you can even pump whole fruits without damaging them.

How does the technology of progressing cavity pumps differ from other pump types?

After 39 years of experience with positive displacement pumps, including 13 years with progressing cavity pumps, I am still impressed by the multitude of challenges this technology can solve. Many people are unaware of the contribution that progressing cavity pumps make to their daily lives. They play an important role in food production, house construction, automotive manufacturing, the textile industry and even in protecting our environment. What sets progressing cavity pumps apart from other types of pumps is, above all, their exceptional versatility. They can convey media with very high viscosities, reliably handle large amounts of solids, and, at the same time, cover an extremely wide range of flow rates, from a few millilitres to 500 m³/h. This combination makes the technology particularly flexible and enables it to be used in a wide variety of applications.

What are the areas of application for NEMO® pumps?

Progressing cavity pumps are extremely versatile. Almost one million NEMO® progressing cavity pumps are in use worldwide, pumping a wide range of media in a variety of applications. They are used in industries such as food and beverage, chemical, paper, mining, explosives manufacturing, water and wastewater treatment, and biogas production. Additionally, they play an important role in oil and gas production, further processing and refining, and petrochemicals. The range of media that can be pumped with NEMO® progressing cavity pumps is constantly growing.
